It was easy to see that Waddell loved family, and enjoyed helping people.
His desire to help others, especially those less fortunate, inspired him to help children without at Christmas. Waddell helped families to enjoy the holidays a little better by buying them clothes, toys and food.
He was a referee for high school & College basketball for 38 years.
He also worked as the Public works director for the City of Fort Mill for almost 30 years.
Retired from the City, then felt the need to help again and ran for and served on the City Council, and Fort Mill School Board.
He loved helping all people but mostly he loved The Lord.
